Fee, Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy explains how fees work for ACGAL's residencies, workshops, and events (“Programmes”), and what happens if a Programme fee needs to be cancelled or refunded. This is not a product-returns policy — ACGAL does not sell or ship physical goods through acgal.in.
Application Fees
Unless a specific Programme page says otherwise, submitting an application is free. Where a Programme fee applies, it is payable only by applicants who are selected and confirmed, and is due by the deadline communicated at the time of selection.
What the Fee Covers
The Programme page for each residency or workshop will state what the fee includes — for example, the Linewright Residency's ₹30,000 fee covers accommodation and meals for the residency dates at Arts Acre. It does not cover travel to and from Kolkata unless stated otherwise.
Cancellation by a Confirmed Participant
If you've paid a Programme fee and need to withdraw:
- More than 30 days before the Programme start date: full refund minus a 5% processing charge (to cover payment-gateway costs).
- Between 15 and 30 days before the start date: 50% of the Programme fee is refunded.
- Less than 15 days before the start date: fees are non-refundable, except at ACGAL's discretion in exceptional circumstances (for example, a medical emergency, on production of supporting documentation).
- After the Programme has started: fees are non-refundable, except as above.
To cancel, email us at rohini@antonymcollection.com as soon as possible so we can process your withdrawal and, where applicable, offer your place to another applicant.
Cancellation or Postponement by ACGAL
If ACGAL cancels a Programme outright, confirmed participants will receive a full refund of the Programme fee. If ACGAL postpones a Programme to new dates, participants may choose to transfer their fee to the new dates or request a full refund.
Non-Refundable Circumstances
Fees are not refunded where:
- A participant withdraws after the cancellation window above has passed, other than for the exceptional circumstances described;
- A participant is asked to leave a Programme for breaching its code of conduct or these Terms of Service;
- A participant simply does not show up without prior notice.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 working days of approval. We'll email you to confirm once a refund has been issued.
